What is Macrolane?

Women and men have already been undergoing aesthetic wrinkle filling treatments for many years to prevent and take care of aging skin and face volume loss. Now a new, non-surgical form of treatment has been developed that also provides the body with beautiful forms and is able to restore lost volume. Macrolane is based on the patents of NASHA-Technology, a hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin. This NASHA-hyaluronic acid is quite similar to of the one found in human bodies and therefore also quite tolerable. Macrolane is an innovative product for body contouring or lost volume restoration. It allows to regenerate bottom curves, calves or to augment breasts. Macrolane can also help to even sunken volumes on the skin or to even sunken scars. The applications on the sensitive face area have been clinically tested and are documented with studies carried out along the last 10 years.

How is it applied?

Treatments with Macrolane do not leave any scars. Neither general anesthesia, nor a longer hospital stay is necessary. Between the mammary gland and the mammary muscle, a very fine cannule is inserted under local anesthesia. Depending on the volume treated, the procedure lasts, between 30 and 90 minutes. The patient can immediately go home after the procedure. A minimal downtime guarantees a quick return to work and physical activities. Macrolane is based on the same molecular structure as Restylane, but with the molecules differently linked up, so that Macrolane is stronger and more compact. This molecular structure allows Macrolane not to be degraded so quickly out of the body. However, Macrolane needs refreshment (refilling) every twelve months. Therefore, the treatment with Macrolane can never replace breast augmentation with implants.

How does it work?

It restores volume in a simple and natural way. By injecting Macrolane, the tissue is supported where unevennesses or new volume hast to be restored. The depth of the injection depends on where it is placed, ranging from subcutaneous to very deep skin layers. Since the characteristics of human bodies change in a natural way, Macrolane is offered in two different formulas. So this gel can adapt to different needs of tissue support and leverage.
