8-Point Liquid Lift

Facelift without surgery

A classic facelift which involves a removal and tightening of the skin under general anesthesia is viewed by many with skepticism and fear. The decision against this type of surgery does not mean, however, that you have to live with unwanted lines and wrinkles. The “liquid lift” offers a gentle, non-surgical alternative for facial rejuvenation.

Facelift without surgery – how is the liquid lift performed?

There are 8 strategic lifting points (MD Codes according to Dr. Mauricio de Maio) which are used as a guideline for injection to achieve firmer skin with greater elasticity.

The 8 key points include:

Cheekbones Midface cheekbone region Nasolabial folds Marionette lines Lower jaw line Jawline Lower cheek area

Who is a good candidate for this method?

The liquid lift is suitable for patients who want to restore lost facial volume and counteract the effects of aging. Particularly in the area of cheekbones, nose, jawline and around the mouth corners, the injection of fillers can compensate this loss.

How is the liquid lift performed?

The loss of volume is replaced by fillers (hyaluronic acid) and volume built up. The sagging of excessive skin can thus be effectively counteracted.

Lost facial contours (e. g. jawline) are reshaped. The liquid lift is not only used to lift the structure of the face, but also to compensate the loss of fat. Fat reductions and fat shifts which occur as a result of the aging process can be treated effectively with this method. The convincing results achieved by a liquid face lift are even comparable to those of a surgical facelift.

What are the most common complications and side effects?

It is common to experience some temporary redness and swelling or some minor bruising at the sites of injection. These reactions, however, can be easily concealed by the use of cosmetics.
